So my life has now officially changed. It is wonderful. My sister always told me when you have a baby you never knew that you could love someone so much. What a wise older sister, cuz she is so right. She may not be right about alot of things, but this she is dead on!:) I never knew that I could love someone so much ...
After!---
So labor was very long, but not bad. After they gave me the epidural I was on cloud 9! I had not been that relaxed or comfortable in months. I was livin it up!! Once I started pushing with the doc I pushed 7 times and she was here. -- before that the nurses wanted to take me c-section because they didn't think she was gonna come with just pushing and she had the cord wrapped around her neck. As soon as the doc came she told me they were dumb and we could push as planned. So that was good.. not good when the epidural wore off! I thought I was gonna die! How do people go natural? They are way tougher than me. Once that was taken care of we were good.

We have been having so much fun with our new little addition. She is such a good little baby. Thankfully she is great eater. She took right to it, that doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt like the dickens! Sadly right now she is all cooped up under the Bili Lights. She has had to be under the lights now for more than 24 hours. It's not that fun.. any of you know that have had jaundice babies. But she actually seems to enjoy her little tanning bed. So I guess it's not that bad.

I just have say that I have never been so happy, or weepy, or tired in all of my life. I am so thankful for my little lady.

It's true. The first few weeks are full of SO many ranges of emotions. But it is all worth it, plus you aren't prego anymore and doesn't it feel great?! LOL. I will say it again. She is super cute. I am glad everything went well and she got here safe and sound. Bili lights suck, but Ross thought Anna looked pretty cute in the sunglasses - I had to agree.
Oh Shawni! SHe is so precious! Congrats! It is so much fun being a mom! I know exactly what it is like when your epidural wears off and having a baby under the bili lights! I was too afraid that Aubree wouldn't like them but she did!!

She looks so cute! Reese was Jaundice and I thought it was the worst thing ever! I cried and little did I know that that was nothing at all we didn't even have to take the lights home. I'm such a moron. Also I still want to cook you dinner. I've had a busier weekend than I thought I'll call you.
What a beautiful little girl! Congrats! Your all look like you are doing wonderful. That stinkin bili crap sucks! I just always told myself that the dumb thing is keeping my little guy healthy. Oh and I do agree "It does hurt like the dickens!"

Oh to be a new mommy! And new parents, in it together! So precious! What an amazing miracle it is! I love seeing first time parents.
I can't get enough of her! Every time I call to see if I can come visit I feel like I would be a nuisance! Can you believe she is almost one week!?

ah, she is perfect isn't she?! i'm glad that she likes her bili bed and is sleeping ok in it though...those were some hard days for coop and i...i'll remember they have goggles if the next kid has jaundice. i'm going to bring up a little valentines thing today, so i'll call you! love ya

Hey Shawni! Your baby girl is adorable. Congratulations! I agree with you that too much of a good thing is wonderful. I am sure everyone has told you it will go by fast.. My little guy turns one this month and I feel like I just barely had him.

I told you there was nothing like it!!!! The tired, weepy, happy stuff is quite a ride, it takes a few weeks to normal out. But she is adorable, and it just gets better, you will also understand why the things that always drove you crazy about other peoples kids, never bothered their parents :)
