Happy Happy Mothers Day!!

I am so excited to say that we had our little bundle of joy on Friday.
My water broke Friday morning, we got in our room at about 10:30 and had her at 2:45! It went great.
This is when we left to go to the hospital, sorry I think it looks like I'm grabbing myself, but it was just the bottom of my belly!! HA!

New Room!!

So this is Scotlyn's new room...
I set it up a while ago and I didn't like it. So, I made some changes. I made some more things and did some finishing touches.
Now I LOVE it!!!
These are a few BEFORE pics....

Some AFTER pics....
This is of a headboard that I made into a shelf. All I did was spray paint it white and hung it on the wall.

The window.. I needed to spray paint the rod white and order an extra valance. I didn't have any thing to put on the ends... I'll show you a close up of that in a sec..

This is of the 'main' wall. We decided it needed some paint, so why not some stripes? Thanks to Scott that did all that for me.

A close up of the wreath I made. I love it cuz I think it's sassy. Made out of a feather boa.

THis is the close up of the end of the curtain rod. I wanted something cuter than the things you get at the store, so I just used styrofoam balls and covered them with fabric and shoved them on the ends.. I like how it turned out. Super cheap, especially when your sis already has the balls and I already had the fabric!

This is my FAVORITE part. I know it seems silly, but this is what really finished the room.
So we started out with just plain old regular base boards, they were actually really crappy.
So I saw on another blog what this genius girl did. She just got another piece of molding put it about 2 inches higher than her existing base boards, nailed them in, and painted the new moulding, the 2 inches between and the old base board. Now it looks like you spent big bucks and got the big thick moulding.
It cost us 40 bucks to do this room, we compared what it would have been with the real thick baseboards and it would have been 140!!! Saved 100.00 bones!!!!!

This is the curtain that was going to be hanging on the window, but it was too dark and enclosed the room, so I took it down and put it on the closet for a closet door.( the weird people that lived here before us took random doors) I just made rosettes and buttons to add a little extra flair.

The lamp.. This was fun to make. Just made a couple ruffles and rosettes and hot glued them on.

So my sister made me this 's'. But at first it was pink, but there was too much pink on this wall so we painted it blue and put a tutu around it. I thought the pop of pink was fun...

This is Scotlyn's first Easter Egg hunt. She had so much fun. She didn't realize there was candy in the eggs, but she really like shaking them and putting them in her bag. I know I'm a bad mom and didn't have her Easter basket, but I forgot. But she loved her sack!!!!!
The next day she was over at my mom's and she got her bag and went around the house taking all of the my mom's Easter egg decor and put it in her bag!! So funny!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter!!

lovin it...

So Scotlyn is now walking. She is all over the place!!
She has just discovered that she can stand back up after she falls...she thinks she is pretty cool!!
She cracks me up everyday. Is there anything better than hearing a little one laugh? I have decided that is the best sound in all the world!
Here are just some random pics of life....

Falling asleep in the highchair!
Kissing Henry Bugs...

Getting into trouble!

So we bought a new car this week. I love it. It's nothing too special, but it's not a two door and it's not a stick!!! We got a Honda CRV. I don't have to bend down to put Scotlyn in the car.JOY! We are selling my car, hopefully the guy who is coming to drive it tomorrow will want to buy it. If not I will post pictures and maybe one of you lucky people might want it!!!
PREGNANCY-- I am now 29 weeks. Life is getting a bit uncomfortable. But we are getting way excited. I am still having a hard time not finding out what the baby is, but I can do it!! Any ideas on how to feel more prepared when you don't know the sex?
I just put Scotlyn in her new room- I did the decor in navy blue and pink. I don't love it yet. When I do I will post pictures. It still needs that something special.

It's been a fabulous year!!

I can't believe my baby girl is ONE!! It has gone by so fast. Last weekend we had Scotlyn's birthday party. It was so much fun. She had a blast.I made her cake. I was a little nervous about it, I have never made a cake to look cute, but I think it turned out good. It was a lot of fun to make. I just did fondant dots on regular frosting. The fondant was really easy to make, but it made a HUGE mess!! Every inch of my kitchen was covered in powdered sugar and frosting. This is the final product. The little one was Scotlyn's, cuz I wanted her to be able to dig in, and boy did she.. Here are the highlights........

Singing happy birthday...

This one cracks me up, she thought everyone needed to keep clapping for her after every bite she took.

No hands... she just gettin to the good stuff!

She was COVERED!!

She didn't want to unclench her fists, so when we were giving her a bath she was still trying to put cake in her mouth!

This was a toy she got, I think my dad like it more!!

Thanks to everyone that came, we so appreciate it. We all had a blast. She got so spoiled with gifts. We love you all, thanks so much.

My mom got her a sesame street kitchen at the the DI. She loves it. My mom got it brand new in the box for only 3 bucks!! Gotta love mom and Taush scouting the DI every other day!

Speaking of the DI... I went there this morning just to check things out. I thought it opened at 9, so I got there at about ten to ten, and guess what there was in the parking lot?!..... A LINE! at the DI. Hilarious, kind of embarrassing that I was there with them. EH.
Some things Scotlyn is doing and loving right now....
She loves to act like she is talking on the phone. Saying "Hi Dad"
She loves to just say HI. The funny thing about it is that she doesn't say it in a cute little high voice, she says it kinda low. It's hilarious!!
Not walking quite yet, she'll take a few steps here and there, but she can get around much faster crawling.
She loves the dishwasher!
She loves her front facing carseat(wait, or is that me?)
Words she says.... Dad, Dog, Moma, cockadoodledoo(ok so it comes out as cocka, but it's when she is pointing to the rooster, so I figure it counts!) and Hi-- If she's in the mood she'll try to copy what you say, but that is only every now and then.
She is so fun. I crack up every day.
Pregnancy is going good. I feel really good, I have energy and am not sick, but my oh my,my back hurts so freakin bad. I think I'm carrying the baby different than I did with Scotlyn and it is sending pain down my legs if I make one wrong move. Oh well what do ya do? Actually if any of you have any suggestions that might help, I would love to hear em.
We are still not finding out what we are having, I was so on board at first, but now it is driving me crazy. I really want to be prepared, but how? I am trying my best.
I am doing Scotlyn's new room, and it is coming along very well. It is in pink and navy blue. maybe I'll feel better when I have both rooms done, I doubt it!! I keep telling Scott it just goes to show how much I love him!!
Sorry for the ubber long post... thanks for stickin with me.

Merry Merry Christmas!! We had such a fun Christmas. It seemed like it was a very long celebration. Don't get me wrong we had a blast, but getting home late every night is a little hard on Scotlyn... therefore a little hard on me! So these pics are backwards, but that's ok. These first few pics are just funny. Scotlyn has this new thing where she crinkles up her nose and laughs.
This is it....

Now, for any of you who know me, you know about FESTIVUS. This is the celebration we have at the Fronks after Christmas. We pretty much eat and play games. This year Josh (Scott's bro who lives in AZ) wasn't home for Christmas day, so we had 2 Christmas's!!! Not too shabby..
Then the day after that is Festivus.
So on Christmas night we opened gifts for about 3 hours, the next day we opened for about 5. I AM NOT KIDDING!! We have to have an intermission to eat it takes so long! So the following pics are of Christmas 1 & 2 & Festivus.
Scott got a Mighty Knight Helmet from Rhett. He loved it. Go North Ogden Jr!!! We are die hards, can ya tell?
Scott wrapped Scotlyn up in a scarf and they both thought it was pretty funny.

Josh gave Scotlyn the cutest little boots. I had to try them on her right then so that is why she has jammies AND boots on!!

Scotlyn with Mimi. Scott's Mom and Dad spoiled us this year.

I LOVE this picture. I was trying to get one on Christmas day by the tree, but Scotlyn didn't want to take the picture she just wanted to give her dad a kiss!! LOVE it!

In front of all her new toys, she didn't really know what to do!

Something was apparently pretty funny!

In the new outfit Grandma Marci gave her.

So this is Christmas morning, I got Scott a PSP and Scotlyn loves to watch him play it.

Christmas morning opening up presents...

Scotlyn didn't exactly know what to do, she didn't really rip the paper off, but she loved th boxes!!

Christmas Eve. All the grandkids on the Toyn side. This is the REAL Santa. He has been coming to our Christmas Eve party ever since I was Scotlyn's age. He is the REAL thing!!!

On Santa's lap...

Us on Christmas Eve.-
I just have to tell you about the gifts my mom and dad got us.
First of all they said they were not going to get us any presents because we are all going on vacation in June together. So we weren't expecting anything at all. But my mom, the thoughtful lady she is, put together a movie of all of their wedding pictures. It was so fun to watch. The grandkids thought their clothes and hair were so funny. ( I have to say, so did I!!)
They also put together a calender for us. It was all pictures of us growing up. She even called the in-laws parents to get kid pics of them too. It was so fun to look back on all of those memories. She also put a couple of pages of recipes for us. The staple things we love, ya know, hot fudge, the best cookies, Uncle Bills roast, Grandma's recipes too. She had them all in her handwriting so that we will always remember them. I loved all of it. Thanks mom, you are the best.

This last one is at the Layton lights. This is really the only tradition just our little family has. I love it. But it was pretty dang cold. We walked through it pretty fast.

I don't have many of us, but we had just as much fun as the kids did. So like I said earlier I got Scott his PSP and just some lame stuff he needed, no man I know really likes to get clothes he needs for Christmas! I got so spoiled this year. I have been complaining about my stupid vacuum for a really long time now, so he surprised me with a new DYSON!!! I had never been so excited to vacuum my house. Their is nothing better that a clean house and vacuum lines in the carpet!!!! He also got me an iphone. I love it. I am so sure that was the last year we will be able to spoil each other that way, now it's all for the babies. Yes, next Christmas will be kid(S),plural!!! 2! CRAZY!
I know this is a long post as is, but I have to tell you what was said at church today.
So I didn't really tell anyone I was pregnant except for my YW presidency. So these ladies come up to me today and ask if I am. So I say yes, and then one of them looked at me all worried and said.... 'Are you so scared?' I just laughed and said no, not really. The other one just laughed and said 'oh you're young, you'll hopefully survive.' I just laughed. Hopefully?!!?
As we were talking about it I think about 5 other ladies overheard so they all came over to talk. Yadda yadda yadda, one more lady comes up and says, ' So rumor is that you are having twins..'
WHAT?
I laughed and then corrected her, and then prayed a little that it isn't!(Julia has assured me it's not, but people are freakin me out!)
Ya gotta love the ladies at church!

So that was our Christmas/Festivus. It was wonderful. I love the time of year that we can remember our Savior and celebrate his life.
