Summer Lovin...

This is a mish mash of our trip to Cali.
We had so much fun. We went with the Toyn clan. So first of all, Thanks Mom and Dad, we had a blast.

Aren't they so cute?!?
Now for the recap...

We went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea world and of course the beach.
Scotlyn loved it all. She loved being with her cousins and grandparents everyday. I think I traumatized her of the car. She would cry when I would open the car door.

We drove to Vegas and stayed the night. Then we drove to Cali the next day. I was really worried about the kids in the car, but thank you technology and thank you Elmo, you saved us. Molli hates her car seat. But if we were moving, we were ok. So the traffic, not so good. But all in all no big problems.

While we were there, I think my kid ate California out of meat. She LOVES it. One night, right before bed she climbed up the chair, sat up to the table and said 'meat, please'. What one year old just wants meat? She's a weirdo!

This first day we went to Universal Studios. Woody Woodpecker was the first character we saw. I have a picture of me when I was little with him, so I thought it would be fun to have one with Scotlyn. We walked up to him and the closer we got, the tighter she clenched. He was playing peek-a-boo with her and when he turned his head he hit her with his beek. She FREAKED!! ...it was hilarious! I posted the video below...

While we were there Molli smiled for the first time. It was so precious.

Sea world...
The sea lions kept barking for food, I think Scotlyn was confused because they sounded like the dog.

This picture was hilarious, Scott took Chel and Brandon's camera and played paparazzi! This was taken through a garbage can!

This is at Sesame Street Land.. She was so smitten with the shooting water!

We went on an Elmo ride that she was so excited about it. But when the ride started to move she just said 'out ,peease, out out out' the whole ride!

She HAtes the characters!

She loves Elmo, just from a far. Look closely at this picture, there is a random little girl who just loved Elmo and snuck in the picture. She was missing for 15 minutes before they found her mom who didn't even know she was gone. WHAT? how do you not know your 3 year old is missing?

Scotlyn LOVED the beach. I think it was her favorite. She would stand and watch the tide go in and out. When it would go out, she would wave and say bye bye!

Again with the shooting water...

Toon Town...

This is how we felt at the end of everyday!!

Disneyland...

Miss Molli...
She did so good. She pretty much just slept the whole time.

My miss Molli again...

Like I said, she hates the characters! and yes I am a terrible mom because I think it's hilarious.

My daughter is fearless with water, she loved swimming.Who watches Scrubs?......... Guy Love!

She loves Camden. Maybe a little too much.
Fish...

Ready for a day in the sun...

Now enjoy the video of me traumatizing my child....

Our life in pictures....

So I never posted Scotlyn's one year pictures. They were alot of fun to do. We did some of her in a North Ogden Jr. football jersey. I gave Scott a few of these pics in a frame for his birthday. I put 2 football pics and her hand and foot prints. He loved it and put it in his office at work. I love how these pics really show off her personality.

And this is poor Scotti today, she is not feeling good. She has had a fever since Saturday. I feel so bad for her.
And this is my Miss Molli...
2 and a half weeks..

I think this pic is hilarious!! I don't know what she was doing, but I laugh out loud when I see it!

At the hospital with my girls.

The uncomfortable hospital chairs/beds. Poor dads that have to sleep in these.

MY GOLLI MISS MOLLI!!!
Molli ... 7 lb. 9 oz. 19 in.

Labor went great. When my water broke Friday morning, Scott was just getting ready to walk out the door to work. I ran in the kitchen and said, I think my water just broke-either that or I just peed my pants! Either way we have a problem! I wasn't totally sure if my water broke so I told him to go to work. I was supposed to have a really busy day at work so I didn't want to go to the hospital and have them send me home when I could have just gone to work, so I called and they told me to come up. So I called Scott and told him I was just going to go up and check, and as I was saying that, I was FOR SURE my water broke. So I stopped mid-sentence and told him to come home. I got ready, packed the bag and was kinda taking my time. Scott came home and was really antsy, he was nervous we weren't going to make it to the hospital with how slow I was going. Pretty sure he was going off of every movie we have ever seen when you have to rush to the hospital!
So we dropped Scotlyn off at his parents and we were off to the hospital. It hadn't really sunk in yet that I was going to have another baby THAt day! We got to the hospital and went to triage, where we had the funnest lady checkin me in. I had the best staff all day. They were so fantastic! Anyway, we got into the room at about 10:30.I was at a 3. They started me on pit and soon enough my contractions were comin. So I choose to feel as little pain as possible and got my epidural at 11:30/12:00ish.Then I was at a 5. I sat at a 5 for about an hour.My doc was going out of town that day, so we were trying to make it before she got on her plane. But we missed her by 20 minutes!!! LAME! Just when my epidural was good and effective I told Scott I wanted to take a nap before I had to start pushing. Just then the nurse came in and put the oxygen on me cuz the baby wasn't doing so good. She started moving me from side to side but nothing was really relaxing the baby, so she checked me just in case. Sure enough I was ready to start pushing. I went from a 6 to a 10 in about 30 minutes. I pushed through 3 contractions and Molli was here. 2:43 pm.Scott was the one who got to tell me that she was a girl. That was so exciting. I had a feeling it was a girl the whole time, so it wasn't too surprising. Now I am going to share TMI... so if you don't want to read just scroll down and look at the rest of the pictures. After she came out, traditionally the afterbirth is no big deal and just comes out with a push, but mine was not coming. It took a good 20-30 minutes to get that part done. I asked if that was normal and they told me that it very rarely happens. I wasn't too worried about it until the doc looked a bit worried and started scrapeing it out. I know that sounds horrible, but that is what happened! Luckily I didn't hemorrhage. The nurse said when that happens the mom usually is bleeding profusely, and with in 4 minutes a mom can hemorrhage and die. Crazy. I'm glad the doc and nurse kept cool and collected or I think I would have been freaking out.
Sorry, you can start reading again now....
Life has been pretty busy since then. Life with 2 is a bit different. But it has been GREAT. Scotlyn has really been doing well with Molli. She loves her. She just walks around saying Baby moee.. hi baby..

New Room!!

So this is Scotlyn's new room...
I set it up a while ago and I didn't like it. So, I made some changes. I made some more things and did some finishing touches.
Now I LOVE it!!!
These are a few BEFORE pics....

Some AFTER pics....
This is of a headboard that I made into a shelf. All I did was spray paint it white and hung it on the wall.

The window.. I needed to spray paint the rod white and order an extra valance. I didn't have any thing to put on the ends... I'll show you a close up of that in a sec..

This is of the 'main' wall. We decided it needed some paint, so why not some stripes? Thanks to Scott that did all that for me.

A close up of the wreath I made. I love it cuz I think it's sassy. Made out of a feather boa.

THis is the close up of the end of the curtain rod. I wanted something cuter than the things you get at the store, so I just used styrofoam balls and covered them with fabric and shoved them on the ends.. I like how it turned out. Super cheap, especially when your sis already has the balls and I already had the fabric!

This is my FAVORITE part. I know it seems silly, but this is what really finished the room.
So we started out with just plain old regular base boards, they were actually really crappy.
So I saw on another blog what this genius girl did. She just got another piece of molding put it about 2 inches higher than her existing base boards, nailed them in, and painted the new moulding, the 2 inches between and the old base board. Now it looks like you spent big bucks and got the big thick moulding.
It cost us 40 bucks to do this room, we compared what it would have been with the real thick baseboards and it would have been 140!!! Saved 100.00 bones!!!!!

This is the curtain that was going to be hanging on the window, but it was too dark and enclosed the room, so I took it down and put it on the closet for a closet door.( the weird people that lived here before us took random doors) I just made rosettes and buttons to add a little extra flair.

The lamp.. This was fun to make. Just made a couple ruffles and rosettes and hot glued them on.

So my sister made me this 's'. But at first it was pink, but there was too much pink on this wall so we painted it blue and put a tutu around it. I thought the pop of pink was fun...

This is Scotlyn's first Easter Egg hunt. She had so much fun. She didn't realize there was candy in the eggs, but she really like shaking them and putting them in her bag. I know I'm a bad mom and didn't have her Easter basket, but I forgot. But she loved her sack!!!!!
The next day she was over at my mom's and she got her bag and went around the house taking all of the my mom's Easter egg decor and put it in her bag!! So funny!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter!!

lovin it...

So Scotlyn is now walking. She is all over the place!!
She has just discovered that she can stand back up after she falls...she thinks she is pretty cool!!
She cracks me up everyday. Is there anything better than hearing a little one laugh? I have decided that is the best sound in all the world!
Here are just some random pics of life....

Falling asleep in the highchair!
Kissing Henry Bugs...

Getting into trouble!

So we bought a new car this week. I love it. It's nothing too special, but it's not a two door and it's not a stick!!! We got a Honda CRV. I don't have to bend down to put Scotlyn in the car.JOY! We are selling my car, hopefully the guy who is coming to drive it tomorrow will want to buy it. If not I will post pictures and maybe one of you lucky people might want it!!!
PREGNANCY-- I am now 29 weeks. Life is getting a bit uncomfortable. But we are getting way excited. I am still having a hard time not finding out what the baby is, but I can do it!! Any ideas on how to feel more prepared when you don't know the sex?
I just put Scotlyn in her new room- I did the decor in navy blue and pink. I don't love it yet. When I do I will post pictures. It still needs that something special.
